My name is Jack.

I am a journalism student at LSU and work part-time at the mall. I plan on using this blog mostly for posting my clips and any random thoughts I have, so if you’re interested, keep reading. If not, I don’t blame you.

A little about myself:

I am from Baton Rouge and have never lived anywhere else. I plan on moving at some point, but I don’t know where yet. I’ve always had a fascination with the West and the idea of “going west,” so I’ll probably end up doing that.

My life is somewhat a mess right now, but I don’t really mind. I am in my last semester of college and writing Entertainment news for our campus newspaper. I really enjoy it, but I have no idea what I want to do “when I grow up”

I am a constant student and nerd, and I really like to learn new things. I especially enjoy studying history, anthropology, and geography. I am really interested in other people and am a big advocate of cultural relativism. I am a  believer in “different or the same” as opposed to “right or wrong” when it comes to looking at societies and individuals. Never judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in his/her shoes…
